A TRANSCULTURAL AND GENDER STUDY AMONG SPANISH AND MEXICAN CHILD ABOUT COMMUNICATIVE-SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This paper reports the results of two groups of children (boys and girls) of differents countries (Spain and Mexico), about the Social-Communication development in the second year of life. The results indicate that the girls supperate to the boys on each subscale: Gestual comunication, Referencial Verbal and Grammar Verbal. But only in the first subscale there are significant statistic differences. However, the tendency of the data shows that the girls are more comnunicative than the boys.
