Copyright and licenses

Articles published in this journal are subject to the following terms:

1. Copyright

From issue 2 of volume 41 (May 2025), authors retain the copyright and intellectual property rights to their articles.

For articles published prior to that issue, copyright is held by the journal, which is legally owned by the Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Murcia [Publications Service of the University of Murcia (Spain)].

2. Grant of rights for first publication

Authors grant the journal’s publisher (Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Murcia) the right to undertake the first publication of their article accepted by Anales de Psicologia / Annals of Psychology (Version of Record – VoR), in that journal.

This assignment does not affect the ownership of copyright, which remains with the authors. The publisher holds the legal ownership of the journal.

3. Creative Commons License

Articles published from issue 2 of volume 41 (May 2025) onwards are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license (legal text). Under this license, others may read, download, copy, remix, transform and redistribute the work in any medium or format, for any purpose, including commercially, provided that the authorship and initial publication in this journal are acknowledged (by citing the article appropriately).

Articles published in issues prior to issue no. 2 of volume 41 (May 2025) are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).

4. Conditions for self-archiving and dissemination of published articles

All articles in this journal are published with immediate open access, with no embargo period.

As a direct consequence of the CC BY 4.0 license, authors are permitted and encouraged to disseminate their published articles in order to promote their circulation, visibility and academic impact.

Self‑archiving and dissemination may be carried out, among other channels, through: (1) institutional or subject-specific repositories, (2) on the authors’ own websites, as well as on (3) general social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.) or academic platforms (ResearchGate, Academia.edu, etc.).

In all cases, the original source of publication must be properly cited in this journal, including persistent identifiers such as the DOI and/or the article’s official URL.

Articles published under the CC BY‑SA 4.0 license (before issue no. 2, vol. 41, May 2025) may also be shared in accordance with the terms of that license.
