Anti-plagiarism policy
La Revista de Investigación Educativa (RIE) analyzes all manuscripts received using anti-plagiarism tools (Turnitin and/or URKUND) before starting the peer review process.
Articles must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism is considered to be both the copying of other people's work and self-plagiarism, understood as the reuse of substantial parts of previous work by the same author without proper citation. Incorrect citations, including lack of attribution or inaccurate references, are also considered improper practices.
The editorial team will review the reports of matches generated by the software. Minor matches or those resulting from the use of technical language will not be considered plagiarism, but if more than 20% of the text presents significant similarities, the article will be rejected.
In addition, manuscripts must comply with the ethical principles of research, including respect for academic integrity and transparency in the use of sources, which must be made explicit in the text.
