As also indicated in the authorship letter template (submissions), if artificial intelligence has been used at any stage of the research process, authors must expressly state this in the document and clearly reflect it at the beginning of the article by means of a footnote, specifying the specific section or sections in which this technology has been used. The aim of this declaration is to inform readers about the use of artificial intelligence, offering greater transparency and understanding with regard to its application in the research presented. The editorial committee will take the necessary measures to identify and avoid the publication of works in which scientific malpractice has been committed, including plagiarism, manipulation of citations, falsification or fabrication of data, alteration of images and improper use of artificial intelligence in the preparation of the manuscript.

The responsible use of artificial intelligence in the scientific field does not depend solely on written rules or institutional guidelines: it is a responsibility shared by the entire academic community. Researchers, authors, reviewers, editors and readers have a collective duty to ensure that this technology is used for the benefit of rigorous knowledge, ethical integrity and the common good.

Revista de Investigación Educativa will periodically review and update its use in order to adapt it to technical, scientific and regulatory advances in the use of artificial intelligence.
