Improvements resulting from the assessment of the quality of attention to diversity in a learning institution

Abstract

This paper is the result of a doctoral thesis called evaluation of the quality of attention to diversity in a learning institution in galicia. Improvement plans, carried out while the research project “educational quality and attention to diversity” was being awarded. This project was funded by the “council of education” of the “xunta de galicia”, whose aim was to identify the indicators that measured the attention to quality diversity and the degree of fulfillment of these in learning institutions in the community of galicia.
Bearing in mind our participation in this project and the results obtained, we suggest a self-assessment process in a nursery and primary school. The focus will be placed on indicators of attention to diversity so that it will be improved by means of a formative evaluation, which will include qualitative and quantitative treatment and be oriented to change that allows internal and external evaluation.
