Focus and scope

The Revista de Investigación Educativa (RIE) published its first issue in 1983. It is distinguished by its generalist international profile and its openness to society and the scientific community, especially to professionals interested in educational research. RIE seeks to disseminate empirical studies, review articles, methodological articles, etc., that address topics related to the sections listed below, and is always open to publishing quality articles focused on educational research.

For an empirical article to be published in RIE, it is required that it be of general interest, as well as generalizable or transferable. To this end, quantitative studies should use samples that aim for representativeness, and qualitative studies should select samples that allow the phenomenon under study to be approached in an idiographic, in-depth and detailed manner.
