Abstract
A general view of the Syrian monastic life is given and a review is made of the most irnmprtant subjects and stages. The importante of relating the lecture of the ancient classical sources with the archaeological findings is highlighted. After the experience presented in this volume our understanding of the monastic life experienced great changes.Downloads
