The forgers of late-ancient history: Don Manuel Gómez Moreno
Abstract
With this title we have tried to recall one of the many forms of work that the teacher Gómez Moreno used not only for research but also in the teaching field, at the same time as trying a small tribute from these pages to one of his most acute works such as it was "Excursion through the horseshoe arch", written in 1906 when it was already in full literary production. Many works by his most distinguished students recall these famous excursions and trips through the Spanish lands, in which the teacher showed monuments, ruins and all kinds of objects to all the participants'. They were excursions carried out with a true spirit of adventure in which the people who participated were carried away by the adventurous and conquering spirit of the guide passionate about History and Archeology.
