Abstract

The aim of this article is to explain the use of votiv Crowns in Spain during the Visigothic Kingdom, through the well-known exemples of Guarrazar founds —especially the crowns offered by the Kings Suinthila (621-631) and Reccesuinth (649-672)— and to connect them with the general background of West Europe and Byzantium.
