Abstract

Open learning and over a distance, a force that he contributes clearly to the social and economic development, has been turning into an indispensable part of the education, and has been gaining acceptance inside the educational traditional systems, both in the developed countries and in development, but particularly in the above mentioned (UNESCO, 2002). This work arises as a response to the absence of information about the current state of the education over a distance in the Autonomous University of Yucatan, considered element of big importance in the Educational Model and Academician of the Institution (MEyA, 2002). The paper discusses some implications of results under the umbrella of Mexico’s Program for Higher Education 2007-2012.
