Abstract

The localization and physical description of the cave is given. An analysis is made of its most relevant characteristics which, in our opinion, are four: significant graffiti in the entrance area; a curious and attention drawing architectonic structure in the interior of the cave; hollowed-out alveolus that we could call «nidus» (or pigeon holes), where the skulls could be placed, but with a significant particularity: these holes have also excavated a sort of beard ; graffiti representing heads in the spaces where one would expect to find alveolus. We came to the conclusion that, despite this first impression, this cave was never used as a «pigeon-loft» and that it presents definitive aspects of having been what we call a «columbarium».
