Abstract
The Roman Empire Limes and its variations at the oriental frontier. The research on the «limes»: from Mouterde and Poidebard to Fergus Millar. Our findings in the limes line: the roman way, the «Castra Caeciliana», the defensive structure. Roman towns and town cemeteries. The limes as obstacle and as bridge. The river-limes as a way.
