Abstract

This work offers a practical overview of the creation of courses and instructional design for a virtual learning environment. The selected case is the development of a teaching unit for an Industrial Technology course for first year high school which will be developed under IMS-Learning Design. For its preparation, both criteria related to cognitive psychology and to socio-constructivismt have been addressed. First, the theoretical foundation of the process will be developed. Later on, the well-founded decisions undertaken in the design and sequencing of ways, resources and activities completed in the implementation of a teaching unit under the IMS-Learning Design aforementioned specification will be explained.
