ASPECTOS GENERALES DE LA ROMANIZACIÓN DE SIRIA, CON PARICULAR ATENCIÓN A LA MESOPOTAMIA
Abstract
Tras una exposición sumaria de la marcha de las investigaciones, se recuerdan las etapas del dominio romano en Siria y se pasa a centrarse sobre todo en la línea del Éufrates y muy en concreto de la zona de Qara Qûzâq. Se describe sumariamente el tejido de ciudades que existieron en esa región siria. Para el tema de las vías romanas se remite a la descripción que hace Honigmann en el Pauly Wissowa y al artículo siguiente, dentro de esta misma obra en el que se toca esta dimensión monográficamente. Se hace alusión, a la importancia política de Siria dentro del Imperio Romano y se trata, finalmente, del tema del grano y de la organización de su comercio en Siria.Downloads
