Abstract

The aim of this article is to review the results of the archaeological excavations carried out during 2006 in the Late Roman town of Begastri. These were focused primarily on the eastern side of the hill in order to explain why the city wall around the acropolis seems to disappear at this point. The reason for this could have been due to the existence of a large public building, maybe a theatre, on this side.
