THERAPEUTIC ALLIANCE: HISTORY, RESEARCH AND ASSESSMENT
Abstract
Pyschotherapy cannot be conceived as independent of an interpresonal relationship between cleint and therapist. Among the components of the therapeutic relationship, alliance is the one that has been more investigated. This paper discussess some of the main contributions to the study of therapeutic alliance from different theoretical perspectives. The significant relationship between therapeutic alliance and outcome is highlighted, as well as the therapist/patient interaction as a significant variable in the course of alliance.Downloads
