Abstract

This article deals with the changes for students and teachers caused by the introduction of ECTS, from a theoretical point of view as well as based on practical experiences acquired in the subject German as a foreign language. The most relevant changes are the introduction of continuous assessment and the use of ICT. These innnovations have contributed to improving the academic results in the analyzed subject. After presenting the general conclusions, possible improvements for the future are suggested.
