Abstract

In this article, the evolution of the use of information technology in teaching is reviewed. After reviewing the special features of the digital world and the curves that characterize it, some techniques and methodologies that will be the focus in university teaching in the coming years are proposed. We intend to provide an overview and a framework that give meaning to the different technologies used in the classroom to serve as a guide to both teachers and university leaders. This way, teachers will see their individual innovative actions to be framed in a coordinated strategy, and university leaders will establish institutional policies to use the technology in teaching and to commit to online teaching.
