MONAQUISMO ORIENTAL EN LA HISPANIA DE LOS SIGLOS VI-X
Abstract
The presence of the monastic elements and the various influences of the Eastern part of the Mediterranean on the Western part, can be seen beginning with the pilgrimages in the fourth to the sixth centuries; the cornmercial-cultural interchanges and the presence of the Byzantine Empire (fifth to seventh centuries); the diffusion of elements of the Eastern cult in the West; by the person and transcendental work of Martin de Durnio; by the exodus of the oriental monks towards the West due to the Arab expansion. The result is not easily measurable but it is something that must be taken into consideration. And an attempt must be made to study and define it, using al1 the types of methods available.Downloads
