Abstract

The appearance of testimonies of the Late Roman and Byzantine periods during the nine champaigns carried out at Tell Qara Qüzaq (1989-1997), their dispersed localization (not only in the Tell but also in the sunounding area), and their heterogenous nature (castrum, dwellings, mosaics, pits, etc) make necessary this study, the object of which is to put into orden these findings so as to offer the most complete picture possible of this area within a chronology that ranges from the 1st to the 6th and 7th centuries A.D.
