Abstract

In the article the spas are studied in the Roman world. The medicinal function is analyzed (balneotherapy) in the old world. Their operation is also studied, from the construction process until one day in the normal life of a spa. Lastly the religious character of the medicinal sources as well as the gods related with the cult to the waters.
