Abstract
This article is a synthesis of the experiences carried out at the excavations in the Roman and Late Antiquity city of Begastri. In this summary we have underlined not only the sequence of scientific surprises we have observed but also the large importance that the findings are providing for better understanding of the urban development and history of the centuries which comprise the Late Roman and the Early Medieval period.
