Abstract
The purpose of our investigation has been the form of the mail door of Begastri during Late Antiquity. The archaeological excavations haven't supplied much data up to now, but there is enough information to lead us to think that it adheres to the usual design found in the fortifi ed roman towns. This type came unchanged into the Middle Ages.
