La función de la Cueva de Fortuna: el antro báquico-sabazio y sus antecedentes.
Abstract
The author has based this study on the Roman parietal inscriptions in the Cueva Negra and a comparative analysis of diverse religious phenomenon in the ancient Mediterranean and of actual etnographic elements. There appears to be three levels of religious use in the history of this cave. The fi rst has been identifi ed as the indigenous level with a probable curótrofa divinity. The following is an intermediate stage, with signs of Phoenican- Punic syncretism. The last level is considered as the classic antro baquico, infl uenced by various currents of sabazico origin.
