Abstract

It was not so long ago that women aspiring to enter university in México faced a stifling atmosphere. Population growth and changes in society.s attitudes towards women have contributed jointly to expand university enrolment figures. There is, however, a lack of statistical data and little or nothing is known about women.s careers, positions and difficulties in Science. Therefore, an attempt was made to analyse the performance of women scientists in agriculture since Mexico, as most nations, aims at satisfying its population needs
