Importance of Argumentative Competence in the Educational Field: A Proposal for its Teaching through Online Role Playing

Abstract

playing as a learning strategy to experience both in teacher training and in the classroom. The argumentative capacity is essential in education as it is a competence that students need to develop to get on in their daily life and transmit their thoughts, defend their ideas, maintain open and understanding dialogs with others, etc. It is therefore essential that teachers also gain knowledge about this capacity and implement it in the classroom, helping students acquire this capacity. In Higher Education, it is pursued that students, as future teachers, develop this competence through the various subjects to be taken during the course of studies. However, in distance education, it is not so easy to practice this skill, as there is no physical attendance environment that encourages synchronous interactions.
