Abstract

In this essay we present a psychological training programme carried out during the 2003/03 season, in a football junior team which belongs to the Group II of the first category of the Football Federation in the Region of Murcia. It is pursued that the players learn to control and develop those psychological variables related to their performance, to solve possible problematic situations from a sporty point of view and also to optimize the available resources (individual as much as team resources). This should be carried out thanks to the learning of psychological techniques or skills from a general framework of intervention which can be considered as a flexible model of application in team sports in he categories of junior and senior/cadet.
