Abstract

A new manuscript in the

Real Academia de la Historia (Madrid) the funerary inscription of the Bishop Sefronius of Segobriga cannot be dated to the year 550 A.C but rather the year 600.

There is no documentary evidence dated before 589 and therefore Proculus is the earliest known bishop of segobriga.
