Las ciudades vasconas según las fuentes literarias y su evolución en la tardoantigüedad
Abstract
This paper studies the situation of basque cities and the ethnic characteristics of the people that lived there, analysing the personal onomastic and the names of the places. The main purpose is to place four cities not yet identifi ed, using epigraphic and archaeological sources:
Ergavica (o Thabuca), Curnonitum, Nemanturista and Bituris. Finally the evolution of all the basque cities in the later Roman Empire is described.
