MOSAICOS GEOMÉTRICOS DE LA COLECCIÓN DEL HOTEL VILLA REAL EN MADRID
Abstract
Entre la colección de mosaicos de procedencia siria, que se expone en el Hotel Villa Real de Madrid, figura un gran número de fragmentos con decoración geométrica, algunos con una identidad de motivos que dejan ver su pertenencia a un mismo pavimento. Por esta razón, a la hora de estudiarlos y darlos a conocer, se han agrupado los mosaicos que presentan la misma temática, respetando las referencias con las que figuran en el catálogo editado por el Hotel Villa Real, aunque en la actualidad se hallen ubicados en diferentes ambientes, en la certeza de que en su día todos formaron parte de un solo pavimento
