Evaluación para la mejora de la calidad educativa: planteamiento y estudio de la metodología de un caso
Abstract
This work tries to describe a complete cicle of autoevaluation in a complexinstitution: the Teacher's Centers. From the begining we asumed that, for the
evaluation process to be a tool for improving the quality of schools, the persons
involved -a group of external support agents- should participate and be committed
to the evaluation process. Because of that we emphasized the need to find a balance
between participation and direction of the evaluation agenda, and between
acceptance/control of the evaluation by the teachers and the efficiency. We also
tried to explore which was the best way to distribute functions and tasks between
the external evaluator and the persons who were the focus of the evaluation. In
short, our concern was to asses the viability and efficacy of an evaluation strategy
centered in the acceptance of the autoreview for the persons who, at the end, can
contribute to the improvement of the schools.
