Abstract

This article describes the launch of the first edition of nine NOOC (Nano Open Online Courses) aimed to improve the digital competence of university teachers in terms of Information literacy, considering three main elements or sub-areas: searching, evaluation and information retrieval, according three levels of proficiency: elementary, intermediate and advanced. The primary reference to built these courses has been the document “DigComp 2.0: A Framework for Developing and Understanding Digital Competence in Europe” (Ferrari, 2013). This study shows the preliminary results of the first edition of these NOOC have dropped a great source of valuable feedback to sharpen future versions of the same courses.
