Abstract

This paper focuses on a course –designed and imparted by the authors who sign this article– with the aim to instruct professionals in Asperger syndrome in communication skills. The purpose of this activity is to improve communicative, linguistic and social gaps that may have patients with Asperger. We used a platform for virtual teaching, since students were geographically dispersed. In the first part of the paper we present a contextualization where we describe the course and the most important features of the syndrome. In the second part, we explain the different blocks that made up the course, and we make a critical comment on the feedback that students made in the evaluation activities of each module. Among the conclusions reached, we emphasize the importance of interdisciplinary studies, more specifically in this case we support the necessary link between medical and communication professionals.
