Abstract

This paper describes an experience that took place at a posgraduate university program. The aim is to to analyze the creation of virtual learning communities according to their main characteristics. 50 students from a postgraduate course in virtual mode participated in this study, which took place in a Master on the Teaching of Natural Sciences at a state university in Argentina. For data gathering, tasks developed by students and analysis of interactions in discussion forums were used. Discussion of results shows that the course provided opportunities for support, discussion and simultaneous development and socialization of ideas which allowed the development of a learning community.
