Abstract

Since its emergence in the educational context, Blended Learning emerges as a modality with its own identity. As it evolves, it moves in contexts configured by presence-based and virtual modes. In a first stage, it stands as a mixed or combined mode, then it advances to an integration, which resulted in the dilution of its components. The progressive social, technological, and cultural changes towards convergence, understood as a strategy for systems integration towards a redefinition of the knowledge industry, show today a new north to the modality, given the confluence of pedagogical and technological mediations in the training process. This position places it in a new trend that more than a possibility, it actually represents a more explicable reality on the future of Blended Learning.
