State of the Art for the Development of a Model of Actors’ Profiles in Education in the Context of Post-Industrial Society and Application to a case of Instructional Design
Abstract
There has been an evolution in society resulting from the accessibility to information, which derives in the need for an an educational model according to this context. Nowdays, the educational model based on what has been defined as the industrial society is still in use; a model in which no discrimination is made in students’ learning, and context or the evolution in students’ learning are not taken into account. Therefore, it is necessary to define an educational model acording to the current situation in which, among other things, the focus is placed on the student, considering their differences, their accessibility to information and their learning pace. This society, defined as post-industrial, implies that the educational model should vary considering the above issues and also other aspects such as learning by doing, or task- based learning, personalized instruction or criterion-based evaluation, among others as defined by Reigeluth (2012) and therefore, to achieve teaching objectives it is also needed to redefine the roles of the participants in the educational process: teachers, students and the applied technology. In this paper, we make a compilation of existing literature on these concepts and already done research, and we lay the basis for subsequent redefinition of the roles of the subjects participating in the educational process.Downloads
