Abstract

Blending-Learning modality in Basics Statistic Courses has been implemented at the School of Economics Sciences in the Nacional University of Córdoba, where face-to-face instances are complemented by distance teaching of the “free software R” 1 for statistical data processing. This teaching method achieves a mediation of learning trough a pedagogical mixture that has its main element in the interaction of teachers and students through the use of the virtual platform. As core in this experience, self-teaching materials have been developed, with allowed autonomous learning and building up of new learning environments. Summing up, materials are pedagogical and didactical nexus between the transmision of contents from the teacher, and the autonomous learning made by the students, which has motivated to continue with this experience, making the “R” user community grow. The outcomes obtained are satisfactory, and show a degree of maturation in the project that results in the improvement of materials, and in the way of assesing the learning processes. Keywords
