ISBN: 978-84-338-7250-0
Abstract
This book offers seven theoretical texts along with a series of activities to provide teachers with resources and centers of interest for designing learning situations. The work performed by women in the Modern Age is the issue that underpins the entire work. Some historical narratives present in textbooks insist on portraying women as practically inactive subjects; however, historiography has for decades uncovered research in which they appear as fundamental economic agents. Women in the Modern Age, although poorly paid and often marginalized, were essential to the production of life in their societies. Considering them from the perspective of labor history will help us dispel many of the clichés and stereotypes that remain present in textbooks and in the collective imagination of much of today's society.
