Abstract
La obra fue editada a petición de Seth Richardson y Steven Garfinkle (quien es además coeditor de la revista junto con Marc van de Mieroop). El tema central de este número especial versa sobre la producción, organización y edición del conocimiento cuneiforme. Para aproximarse a este tema se eligieron cuatro ámbitos en torno a los cuales se han realizado cuatro contribuciones por parte de distintos estudiosos sobre la historia del conocimiento en el Próximo Oriente Antiguo.
