Kinship structure and its operation in Don Quixote
Abstract
In this study, the author performs an analysis of the frequency of words in Cervantes's work, selecting among those that appear more than 10 times in the text and that can show the vision of the woman that is collected here. Without pretending to offer a conclusive conclusion, the choice of words and their frequency can be a starting point for subsequent studies. In this first analysis it is concluded that the functioning of the male kinship system works with a dependence on the female element. The issue of "kinship" is much more complex than the word might suggest. Here we have started from the concepts of kinship to delve into the content and spirit of the work. It is admirable how Cervantes has recounted through anecdote all the human life of his time and within it he has given special prominence to the reflection on human stability in all its dimensions, between men, between sexes and between relatives.
