APPROACH TO THE MILITARIST AND ANTIMILITARIST CONCEPTIONS OF EARLY CHRISTIANITY
Abstract
The disposition of Church institutions and the early Christians towards the war conflicts or their time clearly clashes with the message of justice and «peace» which is attributed to Christ. This conflicting dichotomy -peace versus violence- rises partly from the social and cultural tradition of the Roman Empire, and partly from the ideological corpus of Jesus of Nazareth.
