Basic contents for intercultural citizenship training. Student proposals after the first year of civic education (secondary school subject): an exploratory study
Abstract
This article presents the intercultural contents taught in Civic Education (school subject) after its first year of implementation in secondary education. The paper begins with a brief theoretical foundation in which we analyze the evolution of the concept of citizenship and its current intercultural dimensions. After defining the specific objectives of our study, the methodology is introduced, which is based on a survey-based questionnaire made up of 12 intercultural contents and a Likert scale on the importance of the intercultural contents introduced. The instrument was applied to a sample of 128 participants studying in a secondary school in the city of Melilla. Results and conclusions are introduced at the end of the article.Downloads
