Las competencias académicas previas y el apoyo familiar en la transición a la universidad
Abstract
This research tries to present an approach towards students’ comprehension at the beginni of their university lives. The characteristics of integration and success in their transition are analysed through a survey with a sampling of 1.382 students who entered the University of Barcelona attending different courses and degrees in the academic years 1998 and 1999. Taking into account the variables related to the academic and familiar contexts, that is to say, the students’ background and the affective and effective support of their environment, it is evident that the students’ previous academic experience is essential to solve their transition towards university satisfactorily as well as their family support not only to meet their achievement expectancies but also as a way towards motivation regarding their university studies.Downloads
