Abstract

This research paper aims to better know student's motivation and conditioning circumstances when enrolling in University, so Student Orientation Services can be adequately set up in order to maximize University returns. Future teachers will fin fundamental information to design career plans and curricula. First of all, methodology is described. One of the selected tools is deeply analyzed: García Yagüe's questionnaire on interests, preferences and rejection attitudes by type of activities and on self-image. This research paper, as an introductory step in a broader research, offers a summary of statistical controls, both parametric and non-parametric, used to validate the selected population and used to make the necesary adjustments that have eventually tle to the tool improvement.
