Influencia de la competencia emocional docente en la formación de procesos motivacionales e identitarios en estudiantes de educación secundaria. Una aproximación desde la memoria autobiográfica del alumnado
Abstract
It seems that educators, by way of their manifold interactions, influence motivation and the shaping of their student’s personal identities. In this paper we investigate the emotional influence generated by communications interactions between teachers and students, with the aim of understanding, through the autobiographical reflections of former secondary school students, how the interactive competence of educators can have a significant bearing on the formation of motivational and identity processes in their students. Through multiple case studies with in-depth interviews, once subjects were selected according to their personal identity statuses, we show that affectivity developed by teachers could constitute a firm foundation for connecting students to motivation and learning, with positive repercussions on identity shaping.Downloads
