Las habilidades matemáticas evaluadas en las pruebas de acceso a la Universidad. Un estudio en varias universidades públicas españolas
Abstract
The low achivement rate in first year mathematics subjects at Engineering, Economic and Business degrees had led to the study of the situation. We are interested in the peculiarities of these students and therefore an overview of their pre-university "educational journey" and an aoutline of the characteristics of their Mathematics training are necessary. This paper registers some onformation wich helps to understand which type of student accesses the university and reflects upon the reasons for their specific characteristics. We provide some data about international evaluations of our pre-university educational system and, mainly, we explain the study carried out on mathematical abilities wich are evaluated in the test to access university ("PAU" Spanish exam for university access).Downloads
