An estimate of the homophobic in the future teachers of secondary education
Abstract
This paper aimed at measuring for the first time homophobia levels (inter alia) among Secondary Education teachers in Spain. The sample was composed of 214 students (n=214) of the University´s Master´s Degree in Teacher Training: Secondary and Upper Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Language Teaching (MFPS). For this purpose, a survey validated by a committee of experts and a pilot study were conducted. The findings suggest that 20 % of prospective teachers showed a homophobic attitude, especially at cognitive and affective levels.Downloads
