Abstract
This paper tries to guide the development and implementation of the new school legislation on gifted students. Following this goal, it offers a synthetic vision on the concept of giftedness and also on the distinguishing characteristics of the main theoretical models. It analyses two models widely applied on the anglosaxon world, which differ in important parameters. Finally, we deep into our reality, analysing critically the school legislation and its recent implementation and we also offer proposals, born from research and reflection on the field of gifted education.Downloads
