Abstract

Spanish Program «Escuela 2.0» (one student, one laptop) in Compulsory Education is partially based on students’ digital competence, which is of paramount importance in today’s Knowledge Society. Yet, many students have not fully developed this competence. INCOTIC-ESO is a tool designed for self-assessing the digital competence, which will enable adjusting the teaching of this competence when necessary. The aim of this paper is to present the design, validation and reliability process of this tool, as well as the first data after its implementation on a pilot group.
