The design of educational multimedia softwares as materials for distance education has taken to that, these materials are carried out based on principles of empirical developments. This article, from a new interdisciplinary theoretical perspective, focuses the question of the development of these interactive materials, considering them as Interactive Multimedia Systems (IMS), relating them with the principles of disciplines and concepts so diverse as the thermodynamic one, entropy, constructivism and general theory of systems. In this way, it is guided the process of design of the IMS like a complex system accepting, from a constructivist perspective in which the student take the main role in the learning process, then, a new model of educational multimedia software should not only imply the student in the final tract as user, but rather they would have to intervene during the whole stage in the way, they are developing their learning process.
